Operaestate Festival returns, the event that takes place – like every year – during the summer in Bassano del Grappa.

The event, with appointments ranging from 5 July to 30 September 2023, will bring the big names in dance, music and theater to the city.

The attractions of Operaestate will not just be appointments with great artists, Even the castles, parks, villas and mountains will in turn become protagonists of the exhibition.

The beginning of the festival will be a show dedicated to dance, which will have a spectacular parade along the streets of the center of Bassano.

“Le Bal”, by the French company Remue Ménage, which will take place on July 5th and will kick off the party. This will be followed, on July 25, by Larsen C by Christos Papadopoulos, one of the most important choreographers of international contemporary dance, and many others.

Some shows will be held at the Castello degli Ezzelini, for example on the 21st of July, in collaboration with Antonio Rezza and Flavia Mastrella called “Hybris”; or the concert by Makaya McCraven, internationally renowned drummer and jazz composer, on 23 July.

Those who love theater will be able to attend the shows of some important Italian artists, such as: Romeo Castellucci, Gianfranco Berardi and Gabriella Casolari, Lino Guanciale, Vinicio Marchioni.

The musician Mario Brunello will instead be the protagonist of the evening of 11 August together with the poet and playwright, Mariangela Gualtieri.

Like every year, Operaestate will be an opportunity to approach performative art within the spaces of the city of Bassano. But not only. Operaestate is a widespread festival which, in addition to our city, involves numerous municipalities in the Veneto foothills. In fact, the events will also take place in historic villas – such as Villa Ca’ Erizzo Luca, Villa Cerchiari, Villa Dolfin Boldù and Villa Drigo – along the streets of the centre, in the cloister of the museum and in the parks. There will also be appointments that will have the picturesque Veneto landscape as a backdrop.
